This beautiful, delicate drawing was copied from a photo in one of my gardening books. Max is so bold with paint but put a pen or pencil in his hand and he holds it like a fragile stem and the line work reflects that. He pressed so lightly with the pencil that the original barely shows up at a distance, so in this rare case a print is actually preferable to put up on a wall I think as I was able to boost the contrast for the image to show the details of his drawing more clearly.
